2006 Leadville Trail 100 Mile Run - Leadville, Colorado - Saturday August 19th It's only 45 miles into a 100 mile race but once atop Hope Pass at 12,600' Bill feels like he can conquer anything. This view shows the direction of the outbound trail, which slips down 2700 vertical feet in about 2½ miles, then follows a dirt road to the 50-mile aid station.
